Robb Nanus is an award-winning producer specializing in theater, live events, and digital media. Over the past 15 years, he has led and collaborated on projects that have garnered Tony, Grammy, Drama Desk, and Obie Awards.
From 2017 to 2024, Robb served as the founding Executive Director of the Broadway Advocacy Coalition (BAC), a nonprofit dedicated to integrating arts and social justice. Under his leadership, BAC evolved from a volunteer collective into a nationally recognized organization, partnering with institutions like the United Nations and the Tribeca Film Festival and acclaimed artists including actor Jesse Williams and Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Lynn Nottage. The organization's impactful work earned it a Special Tony Award in 2021.
Robb's production portfolio includes the national tour of Charlie Rosen’s Grammy Award winning 8-Bit Big Band and the world premiere of NUBIA, the first all-Black drag extravaganza featuring stars from RuPaul’s Drag Race including Bob the Drag Queen, Shea Coulee and Bebe Zahara Benet. He also collaborated with Olay on their viral musical campaign featuring talents like Tony winner Ali Stroker and SNL favorite Ana Gasteyer, amassing over 15 million views on YouTube.
His other notable projects encompass the ACLU/NYCLU’s Broadway Stands Up for Freedom concert with Kelli O’Hara, the award-winning musical Newton's Cradle, the Obie-winning The Woodsman, the Drama Desk-winning The Lion, and the New York premiere of Andrew Lippa's I Am Harvey Milk starring Kristin Chenoweth at Lincoln Center. Robb has produced events at esteemed venues nationwide, including Town Hall in New York City, Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, and the BB&T Center in Florida.
Beyond production, Robb has contributed to initiatives with March for Our Lives, Hillary for America, Foossa, The Social Edge, Ars Nova, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, Signature Theatre in DC, Story Pirates, and Turbovote.
